A year ago, HMD Global had introduced the Nokia 3310 for 2017. This year, the Finnish company is bringing back another icon and it’s the Nokia 8110 with 4G.
The original 8110 was a classic slider phone that was first introduced in 1996. This was the phone that was featured in the first Matrix movie.
Similar to the new 3310 throwback device, the Nokia 8110 is still a feature phone that comes with Snake preloaded. To keep up with the times, it will support 4G with VoLTE and it also works as a hotspot.
The Nokia 8110 is priced at 79 Euros (about RM380) and it will be available starting from May 2018.
Unlike the 3310 (2G and 3G edition), the Nokia 8110 runs on KaiOS which will bring Google Search, Google Maps, Google contacts, Twitter and Facebook. It has a 2.4″ QVGA screen and it runs on an entry level Snapdragon 205 processor with 512MB of RAM. It has a single 2MP camera at the rear and it’s powered by a 1,500mAh battery.
