ASUS is launching its new dual-camera smartphone lineup at MWC 2018

Barely six months since they announced the ZenFone 4, ASUS will be having a smartphone event at MWC 2018. This appears to be their upcoming ZenFone 5 and it’s happening at the end of February.

The invite doesn’t reveal much except for a prominent #BackTo5. We are not sure if they are making any references to the original ZenFone 5 from 2014 which came with a 5″ display. What can be confirmed is that they will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor and it will feature dual-cameras.

If you take a closer look at their “We love photo” icon, the dual-camera placement appears to be vertical rather than horizontal.

Word has it that ASUS could be launching two models – the ZenFone 5 Max and ZenFone 5 Lite. The ZenFone 5 Max will have a bigger battery while the Lite version is an affordable alternative for the entry-level segment. You can expect at least one of them to come with an 18:9 display.

The ASUS event is taking place on 27 February which is Day 2 of MWC 2018. It will be streamed live at 7:30PM, which is 2.30AM on 28 February, Malaysian time.
