A83: OPPO’s most affordable “Full Screen” selfie expert is now RM100 cheaper

OPPO Malaysia has just given its latest selfie-centric smartphone an RM100 price cut. The OPPO A83 is their affordable alternative to its OPPO F5 series and it comes with a “Full Screen” 18:9 display for less than RM1,000.

Originally announced at RM999, OPPO Malaysia has revised its price tag to RM899. It’s the same price as the ASUS ZenFone Max Plus that comes with an 18:9 display and a dual-camera setup at the rear.

The OPPO A83 has a 5.7″ HD+ display and it runs on a MediaTek Helio P23 processor that’s mated to 3GB of RAM. It has 32GB of storage which is expandable via microSD. Over at the front, it features an 8MP f/2.2 selfie camera while the rear gets a 13MP f/2.2 shooter.

There’s no fingerprint sensor but it does come with facial unlock. Powering the device is a 3,180mAh battery and it runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with ColorOS 3.2 skin on top.
