Motorola is adding more possibilities to its modular Moto Z series with two new Moto Mods at CES 2018. One of it is a health and fitness measuring tool, while the other Moto Mod adds a full sliding QWERTY keyboard to your existing Moto Z smartphone.

Lenovo Vital Moto Mod

For those who want to keep track of their health and wellbeing, the Vital Moto Mod can measure five of your key vital signs in just 2-3 minutes. It can measure your heart rate, respiratory rate, Pulse Ox, core body temperature and even your systolic and diastolic blood pressure via your finger.

It looks quite bulky, so it isn’t something you carry around with you day to day. As pictured above, you’ll need to put your finger through the ring and into the middle compartment. The Vital Moto Mod is quite a premium with a price tag of $395 (about RM1,583). It will be available beginning April this year.

Livermorium Slider Keyboard Moto Mod

If you miss the Motorola Milestone (aka Moto Droid), the Livermorium Slider Keyboard adds a full keyboard to your existing Moto Z series. There’s even a mechanism that lets you tilt the screen up to 60-degrees. According to Lenovo, this Moto Mod was actually the grand prize winner of the first Transform the Smart Phone Challenge with Indiegogo.

The keyboard costs US$99 (about RM397) and it will be available later this winter which is sometime before the end of March. In Malaysia, Motorola had recently introduced the Moto Mods 360 camera at RM1,199, while the Moto Mods GamePad costs RM499.
