If you’re not convinced with the Galaxy S9‘s alleged design, here’s a fresh new batch of leaked renders which confirms what we know so far about Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphones. Similar to the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S7, the Galaxy S9 appears to be a “tock” upgrade to the current Galaxy S8 series.
The Galaxy S9/S9+ will still retain the same Infinity Display which would dominate the entire front with its 18.5:9 display aspect ratio. Since Samsung isn’t implementing an under the screen fingerprint sensor on the S9, the fingerprint sensor is still mounted at the back but with a different design.
As seen in the leaked Olixar cases below, the fingerprint sensor is now mounted vertically right underneath the camera lens and it has a noticeable border which is similar to the Galaxy Note8 and the latest Galaxy A8 (2018). The flash and heart rate sensor is moved back to its original position, which is to the right of the camera lens.
Unlike the current S8+, the Galaxy S9+ will feature dual-cameras instead of one. This looks like a Galaxy Note8’s camera module being rotated by 90 degrees.
With this leak, it is an indication that the Galaxy S9/S9+ launch could happen very soon. A South Korean report had suggested that the Galaxy S9/S9+ would launch at MWC 2018 and it could hit the market in mid-March 2018.
