The Razer Phone hasn’t even been out for a solid month yet, and already people want to see how well it can stand up to some punishment. Of course, it’s only natural for people to want to put a phone through its paces when it’s released, and YouTube channel JerryRigEverything did just that.
The channel also torture-tested the Nextbit Robin some time back, and as the Razer Phone does look similar (Razer did acquire Nextbit some time ago) it actually does a bit better than its predecessor, by a little bit.
Regardless, the phone still doesn’t hold up all that well to torture, although it did survive certain things better than others. Ironically it doesn’t handle a razor blade very well. The phone’s metal bits do get scratches and does actually snap during the bend test but the damage is still superficial.
