Last year’s Porsche Design Mate 9 can be yours at RM2,000 less

If you’re a Porsche Design fan and don’t want to fork close to RM7,000 for a brand new smartphone, here’s an affordable alternative. You can now get last year’s Porsche Design Mate 9 with a significant RM2,000 price cut in Malaysia.

Originally priced at RM6,999, Huawei Malaysia had sold out 1,000 units in a few months. That’s quite a massive price tag for a phone which is essentially a Huawei Mate 9 Pro with larger storage and a stealthy black paint job that comes with a nice Porsche Design logo. If you’re interested, DirectD is offering the device at RM4,999 and they have very limited stocks available.

The Porsche Design Mate 9 comes with a 5.5″ dual-curved Quad HD AMOLED display and it runs on a Kirin 960 processor that’s mated to 6GB of RAM. It has 256GB of internal storage which isn’t expandable. Like the Mate 9, it comes with a dual-camera system (20MP + 12MP) that are co-developed by Leica while the front comes with an 8MP selfie shooter.

Powering the device is a 4,000mAh battery which supports fast charging via USB Type-C. The Porsche Design Mate 9 comes with 1-year warranty with a one-to-one swap policy. For more info, check out DirectD’s Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9 page.
