Xpax lets you stay connected in ASEAN countries for only RM1/day

Xpax is making overseas connectivity even more affordable in ASEAN countries with its latest 1-day Basic Internet Pass. For only RM1/day, this pass enables you to enjoy social messaging for apps such as WeChat, WhatsApp, Line and Kakaotalk in 9 countries.

The Basic Internet Pass is available in Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam, and it’s applicable for all new and existing Xpax prepaid customers. Just make sure you’re connected to the partner telcos as listed below.

To subscribe, just dial *118# and select “Buy Roaming Pass” and “1 Day Basic Internet Pass” or you can send BASIC ROAM by SMS to 28882. All passes will expire at 11:59 PM Malaysian time, so do take note if you’re travelling to a country with a different time zone.

Since it is basic internet, speeds are capped at 64kbps which is enough for instant messaging but there’s daily data cap of 30MB/day. If you wish to continue on this pass for the next day, Xpax advises you to switch off your data roaming by 11:59 PM and subscribe to a new pass at 12:00 AM to avoid pay per use charges.

If you need more than just messaging, Xpax also offers 1-Day Social Roam Pass which gives you 1GB of data for Social Apps (Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, WeChat), 50MB of high-speed data and 50MB of Basic Internet. This is applicable in Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Japan and India.
