SanDisk’s 400GB microSD card and iXpand Base have landed in Malaysia

If you need to expand more storage on your smartphone, Western Digital has introduced new SanDisk storage solutions for both Android and iPhone users. For Android and mobile devices that use microSD, they have introduced its largest microSD card that has a whopping 400GB of storage in Malaysia. That’s double the capacity of its 200GB microSD card that was introduced in 2015.

400GB SanDisk Ultra microSD

The 400GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-I card has a Class 10 rating that’s optimal for Full HD video recording and playback. It has read speeds of up to 100MB/s which can move up to 1,200 photos in a minute using a USB 3.0 card reader. The microSD card also meets A1 App performance class specification which is optimised for app-loading.

If you’re interested, the 400GB SanDisk Ultra microSD is officially priced at RM1,499. It will be available in Malaysia via 11street, Lazada and Shopee beginning December 2017.

SanDisk iXpand Base

For iPhone and even iPad users, SanDisk has introduced its iXpand Base in Malaysia. It is a charging base which also acts as a backup solution. So if leave your iPhone charging overnight, this dock will automatically backup your photos and files the moment it’s plugged in. It has a nice rubber grip on top which is designed to hold your iPhone in place.

What’s interesting is that the iXpand Base has a high output of 15W (5V/3A) via its power adapter. This means it can fast charge the latest iPhone 8/8 Plus and iPhone X. To keep organise your cables neatly, you can loop your lightning cable (which isn’t included) around the grove of the base. Speaking of storage, the iXpand Base uses an actual SD card which is user-removable. This opens up the possibility of upgrading its storage with a larger SD card.

The SanDisk iXpand Base is now available at Apple Premium Reseller stores, 11street, Lazada and Shopee across Malaysia. There are a total of 3 storage options which are priced as follows:
64GB – RM369
128GB – RM529
256GB – RM899
