Motorola has thrown another surprise today by announcing the Moto X4 in Malaysia. This is their premium mid-range smartphone which uses glass for both front and back.
Introduced during IFA 2017, the Moto X4 is officially priced at RM1,899. It will be available in Malaysia starting today and it comes in Super Black and Sterling Blue.
The Moto X4 features a 5.2″ Full HD IPS display and it runs on a 2.2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 630 processor that’s mated to 4GB of RAM. It comes with 64GB of storage which is also expandable via microSD.
Over at the rear, it features a contoured 3D glass back design for a premium look that’s protected by Gorilla Glass.
The Moto X4 also gets a dual camera system at the rear. The primary camera is a 12MP f/2.0 shooter with dual autofocus pixels while the second unit is an 8MP f/2.2 camera with an ultra wide-angle lens. Similar to the Moto G5s Plus, it has several camera tricks including selective focus, black and white and background replacement effects. For selfies, it has a higher resolution 16MP f/2.0 main camera which can adapt to low light by reducing its resolution to 4MP.
The Moto X4 gets IP68 dust and water resistance but Motorola warns that it isn’t designed for submersion. It is also powered by a 3,000mAh battery which supports TurboPower charging via USB Type-C. Another neat trick is the ability to connect to 4 Bluetooth speakers/headphones simultaneously.
The Moto X4 is currently running on Android 7.1.1 with its standard Moto Experiences built-in. It’s also upgradable to Android 8.0 Oreo.
If you’re interested, the Moto X4 will be available at their online store on Lazada Malaysia and selected authorised dealers.
