Samsung Malaysia Star Wars Powerbot

Samsung‘s really getting on the Star Wars bandwagon, releasing not one but two limited edition models for their POWERbot VR7000 robotic vacs, featuring the mugs of Darth Vader and a Stormtrooper.

We recently got to see them in action, and they’re not too different from the regular VR7000 models but they have some fun fan features bundled in for the avid Star Wars fan. Coming in two colours, Stormtrooper (white) and Darth Vader (black) both are able to spout iconic Star Wars phrases and sound effects while getting their clean on. They’re also able to be remotely controlled via the Samsung Connect app via WiFi, so you can literally pilot it around the house.

However, both models aren’t created equal, as the Darth Vader model has more bells and whistles. For starters, it makes sound effects like Vader’s iconic breathing sound, and it plays the Imperial March theme while it roams around in auto clean mode.

The vacuums are currently open for pre-order and they’ll be available starting December. The Darth Vader model goes for RM2,999 while the Stormtrooper model hasn’t had its Malaysian retail price revealed yet.

Harvey Norman is accepting pre-order for the Darth Vader version between 6-8 November, and they are bundling R2-D2 collectible on top of their purchase.

Alternatively, you can pick one up from Lazada with stocks expected to arrive on 22 November.
