It’s no secret that Razer is coming out with a smartphone of their own. After acquiring Nexbit earlier this year, the gaming brand will be announcing its first smartphone early next month.
If you’re looking for raw performance for gaming, the upcoming Razer phone will feature top of the line specs with more RAM than most flagship smartphones in the market.
According to its GFXbench listing, the new Razer smartphone will get a 5.7″ display that pushes a QuadHD resolution of 2560×1440. Under the hood, it runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor which is mated to a whopping 8GB of RAM.
Storage is listed with 64GB onboard but there’s no mention if it has microSD card expansion. For imaging, the rear gets a 12MP main camera that can shoot 4K videos while the front is listed to have an 8MP selfie shooter. Out of the box, it appears to be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
With Razer’s business focus in gaming, this is likely to be their first attempt at a gaming-centric smartphone. Hopefully, it comes with a pair of stereo speakers and a large battery for the best gaming experience. We’ll find out more in two weeks time as Razer will be revealing the smartphone on 1st November.
