For those who are interested to get it on contract, Maxis is offering the Galaxy Note8 from as low as RM2,199 or RM102/month.

As usual, Maxis is bundling the latest productivity phablet with S Pen on 3 postpaid plans – MaxisONE Plan 128, 158 and 188. All 3 are tied with 24-months contract duration. Below are the bundled pricing for both standard contract and zerolution.

Standard Contract
MaxisONE Plan 128 – RM2,799
MaxisONE Plan 158 – RM2,499
MaxisONE Plan 188 – RM2,199

Maxis Zerolution
MaxisONE Plan 128 – RM132/month
MaxisONE Plan 158 – RM117/month
MaxisONE Plan 188 – RM102/month

For the standard contract, there’s an upfront payment of RM512 (MaxisONE Plan 128), RM632 (MaxisONE Plan 158) and RM752 (MaxisONE Plan 188) depending on the plan you choose. This amount will be used to knock off your next bills in your subscription. However, if you’re an eligible long term Maxis customer, this upfront payment can be waived. You can check your eligibility at the online store where they will show RM0 upfront if you qualify.

If you prefer to swap phones every year, Maxis Zerolution is available with RM0 upfront payment from RM132/month. Take note that the monthly installments above are just for the phone only. If you do plan on upgrading your phone, it will cost RM44/month for the upgrade fee. In addition, to ensure that you won’t get any penalties for returning a damaged phone, there’s also an optional Zerolution SafeDevice add-on costing RM23/month.

Overall, Zerolution is a costlier option than the standard contract plan. If you do the math, The Galaxy Note8 on MaxisOne Plan 128 with upgrade fee would cost RM176/month and that calculates to a total of RM4,224 over 24 months which is more than the retail price itself.

Note that all device pricing above are without GST so you’ll see the final price with extra 6% upon checkout. All 3 colours are available – Maple Gold, Midnight Black and Orchid Grey. Samsung Galaxy Note8 stocks are expected to be available on 18 September 2017. Take note that the pre-order promotion will end on 10th September 2017.
