You can pre-order the Samsung Galaxy Note8 in early September!

All caught up on the Samsung Galaxy Note8 launch? No? Well, check out our announcement post, our hands-on and the 8 big new features on the Galaxy Note8. Now that you’re all caught up, here’s how you can be one of the first in the country to get your hands on Samsung’s new flagship right here in Malaysia.

Samsung Malaysia has revealed that they will begin taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Note8 from the 5th to 10th of September 2017 — which is less than 2 weeks from now! Users who pre-order this will also receive a special package from Samsung Malaysia. Stay locked to this website as pre-order details will be announced there.

For that money, you’ll be getting a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ Infinity Display that pushes a resolution of 2960×1440 pixels. Inside, the Malaysian unit will be powered by an Exynos 8895 10nm octa-core processor mated to 6GB of RAM. There’s currently no information on which storage option we’re getting yet, unfortunately. There’s also a 3,300 mAh battery that has support for Fast Charging and Fast Wireless Charging, IP68 water resistance plus biometric security options like an Iris Scanner, fingerprint scanner and facial recognition.

You also get Samsung’s new 12MP dual-camera system where one is a Dual Pixel sensor with your standard focal length f/1.7 aperture lens while the other doesn’t have Dual Pixel AF but comes with an f/2.4 aperture short telephoto lens. This gives the smartphone 2X optical zoom and up to 10X digital zoom. These cameras also give the smartphone access to a shallow depth of field photo feature Samsung calls Live Focus.

Samsung also enhanced the S Pen so you get access to features like translating entire sentences with hover-translate, an improved screen-off memo and the ability to pin and edit notes right on the Always-on Display.

This smartphone will be available for purchase on sometime in the middle of September and we’re among the first wave.
