Here’s the LG V30 revealed in its full glory

The LG V30 flagship phablet will be revealed end of this month on the eve of IFA 2017. We’ve seen several leaks before and now we get to see all angles with this new leak from @evleaks.

From this official looking press render, the LG V30 looks very similar to a Galaxy S8 or even the Note8. You get a tall 18:9 display which dominates the front and it is noticeably curved slightly around the edges where it meets the metal frame. The similarity to the Galaxy S8 doesn’t stop there as the metal frame also gets a shiny glossy finish.

The rear of the LG V30 looks less cluttered compared to Samsung. You get a small dual-camera module located in the middle while its flash and additional sensors are placed right next to it. In terms of optics, the LG V30 is said to be the world’s first smartphone to get a f/1.6 aperture lens, which allows 25% more light compared to f/1.8. Like its current flagships, the main camera is used for normal shots while the secondary unit is dedicated for wide-angle.

Meanwhile, the rear fingerprint sensor placement is right smack in the middle, making it easier to locate like LG’s predecessor.

The LG V30 is a radical change from its current V series. Firstly, it no longer has a removable battery and it also drops its secondary ticker display in favour for an on-screen floating bar.

Spec-wise, the V30 is expected to come with a 6″ QuadHD display and it will be powered by a top of the line Snapdragon 835 processor with at least 4GB of RAM. Storage should start from 64GB and it might come with a 3,300mAh battery that’s charged via USB Type-C.

The LG V30 will be revealed officially on 31 August 2017 and hopefully, it could reach our shores earlier in the next few months to come.
