The opening of the 29th SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur is kicking off this Saturday but the preliminary events are happening starting today. If you don’t want to miss out on all the action, here are a several ways to watch the events for free on your smartphone.
As a Platinum Partner of Kuala Lumpur 2017, TM is offering free viewing on two dedicated SEA Games channel on its HyppTV Everywhere app. This is applicable to all users including non-TM subscribers. If you’re not a HyppTV Everywhere user yet, it’s easy to register for an account.

Astro is also giving everyone (including non-Astro subscribers) free access to its SEA Games channels on your smartphone and tablet. They are providing a total of 4 exclusive channels on both Astro Go and NJOI now mobile app. The best part about these apps is you can skip the registration and start watching straight away.
Alternatively, you can watch the Live Stream and catch up with the replays via the official Kuala Lumpur 2017 YouTube channel. Take note that live streaming will start on 19 August and the opening ceremony will be streamed live in 360 format.
