Here’s what the Samsung Galaxy Note8 looks like in real life

It was really only a matter of time before we got to this stage but the Samsung Galaxy Note8 has leaked in a set of real-life images that show pretty much everything about the smartphone’s exterior.

From the images, there really doesn’t look like there’s anything new here that we don’t already know about. However, it does confirm a lot of the earlier rumours and leaks. First off the phone is indeed a lot more squared-out compared to the Galaxy S8/S8+. It also features the S8’s Always-On display plus super tall font which isn’t super surprising either.

On the left of the phone, you’ll find the dreaded Bixby button and volume rockers. At the back things stay pretty true to the leaks so far with that dual-camera setup and fingerprint sensor which stubbornly remains to the side of the camera module.

In front, it’s almost all-screen and looks super clean. The pressure-sensitive home button retains its spot and so do the camera and sensors on the smartphone’s forehead.

Besides that, we also get a good look at the Note8’s S Pen which, as far as we can tell, looks identical to the one in the Note7. It’s supposed to feature pretty much the same specs — including the ability to write on the Note8’s screen under water — so the similarities in looks aren’t that surprising either.

To recap the specs, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 is said to come with a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display pushing a QHD+ resolution of 2960×1440 pixels in that same tall 18.5:9 aspect ratio. Inside, it’s powered by either a Snapdragon 835 or an Exynos 8895 processor (depending on region) plus 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD).

It’s also water resistant, has that dual-curved Infinity Display, Iris Scanner, fingerprint scanner and a brand new dual 12MP primary camera at the back (one for wide, one for telephoto). In front, you’ll find an 8MP f/1.7 aperture lens. It will also feature a relatively small 3,300 mAh battery which is a big bummer.

For more info on the specs, definitely, check out the spec reveal post we did here.
