If the Moto Z2 Play isn’t powerful enough for your daily driver, Motorola is finally unveiling its real flagship, the Moto Z2 very soon. This will succeed its current Moto Z which came in an ultra-thin form factor and it supports Motorola’s modular Moto Mods.
For this year, the new Moto Z2 is expected to retain a similar 5.5″ Quad HD AMOLED display as before. To match with the current flagship smartphones, it will be running on the latest Snapdragon 835 processor with at least 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Word has it that there will be a higher-spec variant sporting 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
While the mid-range Moto Z2 Play comes with a single 12MP f/1.7 dual-pixel focus camera, the new Moto Z2 will come with a dual-camera system at the rear as shown above. Also seen here is Motorola’s elusive 360 camera Moto Mod which turns your Moto Z into a 360 capture device.
The Moto Z2 is expected to launch on 25 July and there’s a big possibility that Motorola will be unveiling its Moto X4 series as well. So far, Motorola has released a total of 7 smartphones this year and we can expect more models including an updated Moto G series to be released later this year.
