After introducing the HTC U11, the Taiwanese smartphone maker could be introducing its “squeezable” interaction to a more affordable segment. Dubbed as the “Ocean Life”, this could this be a “mini version” of the HTC U11 and a successor of the HTC U Play.
The new device is rumoured to come with a 5.2″ Full HD display and it runs on a Snapdragon 660 processor. There’s no mention of RAM but we reckon it should come with at least 4GB.
For imaging, the new device is said to come with 16MP cameras for both front and back. The battery appears to be a 2,600mAh capacity which is slightly more than the HTC U Play’s 2,500mAh unit.
Like the new U series, it is likely to come without a 3.5mm headphone jack but comes bundled with a pair of USB-Type C based earphones. In terms of software, it is purported to come with HTC Sense 9.0 that’s based on Android 7.1.1 as well as HTC Edge Sense, which is responsible for its squeeze interaction.
