OnePlus 5 Malaysia official Price

UPDATE: OnePlus 5 official Malaysian sets are now available for pre-order.

That was fast! After the OnePlus 5 was announced a few days ago, official distributor Brightstar has announced that the new OnePlus 5 is coming to Malaysia very soon. This is probably the fastest roll out of a OnePlus product in Malaysia so far.

Brightstar has yet to announce an official release date for Malaysia but they have revealed the official pricing for both OnePlus 5 models. The base OnePlus 5 with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage is officially priced at RM2,388 while the higher spec 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model is going for RM2,688.

That’s cheaper than the import sets that are going on pre-order right now and you get the full 1-year official Brightstar Malaysia warranty. As a comparison, the imported set for the International Model (A5005) is priced at RM2,588 for the 6GB RAM model and RM2,988 for the 8GB RAM model.

Just to recap, the OnePlus 5 is a top spec flagship smartphone with a 5.5″ Full HD display and it runs on a Snapdragon 835 processor mated with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. It comes with either 64GB or 128GB storage that’s non expandable and it comes with a dual-nano SIM slot.

For imaging, it gets a 16MP + 20MP camera system which provides 2X Zoom while the front sports a 16MP selfie shooter. The OnePlus 5 comes with a 3,300mAh battery and it supports Dash Charge fast charging via USB Type-C. It also supports NFC as well as Bluetooth 5.0. Out of the box with runs on Oxygen OS that’s based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

So, if you’re planning to get a OnePlus 5, you probably want to get the official Malaysian instead. If you don’t need the latest, you can get the OnePlus 3T with official Malaysian warranty at RM1,777.

Brightstar will be offering a pre-order for the OnePlus 5 in Malaysia and we believe it could happen soon after the Raya holidays.
