Wiko launches three super affordable Android Nougat smartphones

Everyone’s favourite French smartphone company Wiko has dropped three brand new budget smartphones running Android Nougat and not a single device will cost you more than RM800.

Wiko Upulse

Sitting at the top of the range for today’s launch is the Wiko Upulse. This handset will feature a 5.5-inch HD 720p IPS display in front tucked under 2.5D glass. Inside, it’s powered by a MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Storage is expandable via a dedicated microSD card slot so you won’t have to give up a slot from this dual SIM phone.

Powering the handset is a 3,000 mAh battery while all photography is handled by a 13megapixel primary camera with Fast Auto Focus and Auto Scene detection plus a front-facing 8MP selfie shooter. The primary camera also has a Super Pixel feature that takes high-resolution 52MP photos. Finally, the device has a nice metal body with a removable back cover and removable battery.

The Wiko Upulse will be priced at RM799 and will be available for purchase after Hari Raya.

Wiko Harry

Next up is the Wiko Harry which sits just below the Upulse. This smartphone comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display in front. Inside, it’s powered by a MediaTek MT6737 processor, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (also expandable via a microSD card slot). The handset will also come with a 2,500 mAh battery for power.

For a touch of premium, the smartphone will come with a brushed metal back that gives the device a glossy finish. For photos, the Harry will feature a 13MP/5MP camera combo.

Wiko Harry will be priced at RM599 and is available for purchase now.

Wiko Kenny

Rounding out the trio is Wiko Kenny, the most affordable of the bunch. This budget device will come with a 5-inch 854×480 pixel FWVGA screen, a Quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD). It will have dual SIM connectivity and a 2,500 mAh battery.

For photos, the Wiko Kenny comes with an 8MP/5MP camera combo with an LED flash at the back. This handset will be priced at RM499 and will be available for purchase after Hari Raya.
