Digi offers Viu Premium subscription with high-speed data at RM5/month

As Digi continues to expand its network, they aim to provide more freedom to its users by providing more value and convenience when it comes to its digital services. To deliver that promise, they have just announced 4 freedom propositions covering Music, Video, Gaming and Roaming. While most of them are just a rehash of their current offering, Digi is making premium video content more accessible by offering a subscription plus additional data bundled in for one affordable price.

Take note that the 5GB extra data is only applicable for customers who are on Postpaid 80, 110, 78, 108 and 138 as well as all prepaid customers that subscribed to the applicable plans mentioned above. If you’re on the Digi Infinite postpaid plans, there’s no extra data quota as the plans are already unlimited. For other Digi postpaid customers, you’ll get just 1GB of data.

According to Digi, a similar subscription + data combo offer for iflix and tonton will be introduced at a later date. To activate Freedom 2 Viu, you’ll have to do so through the Digi Video Freedom website. Activation through the MyDigi app will be made available at a later date.

Digi Music Freedom

For those who love to stream music, Digi has increased its 1GB Music Freedom offer to 5GB. This will be rewarded to all loyal Digi Postpaid and Prepaid customers with a tenure of at least 6 months. The 5GB streaming quota covers 30 different platforms which include Spotify, JOOX and Smule.

Digi Gaming Freedom

Digi is also emphasising that it is easy to purchase in-game items without the need of having a credit and debit card. With Gaming Freedom, you can buy items for games such as League of Legends, Dota 2, Counter-Strike and FIFA directly from your Digi Prepaid credit or have it billed directly to your postpaid account. Beginning 1st July, a new Leagues of Legends collectable top-up cards will be available and you can get a Premium Star Guardian Jinx Skin with an RM100 top up while stocks last.

Digi Roaming Freedom

To stay in touch while travelling, Digi customers on selected Postpaid plans can enjoy free data roaming and calls with its Digi Roaming Freedom. This is basically the same offer as its current Roam like Home offering that gives you 5GB of data roaming quota and 60 minutes of calls in Brunei, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Myanmar, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.

This roaming offer costs RM30/month but it’s free on Digi Postpaid 110 and Postpaid 150 Infinite. It will cost you RM10/month if you’re on a postpaid plan that costs between RM70-80/month.
