Lenovo’s powerful ThinkPad P51s with NVIDIA Quadro has arrived in Malaysia

Lenovo Malaysia has just announced the ThinkPad P51s, a powerful workstation with ultrabook portability. Designed for engineers and architects in mind, it is packed with top of the line specs with sturdy exterior construction for demanding power users.

The ThinkPad P51s is powered by Intel’s 7th gen Core i7-7600U (4MB Cache, up to 3.90GHz) processor with 16GB DDR4 (2133MHz) RAM and 512GB of PCIE NVMe SSD storage. For graphics, it comes with NVIDIA Quadro M520M GPU with 2GB GDDRR5 and you have the option to plug in an external GPU via Thunderbolt 3. The 15.6″ display is available in either Full HD, Full HD (Touch enabled) and UHD options.

There’s no shortage of ports with the P51s. It has 3x USB 3.0, 1x HDMI 1.4, USB-C with Intel Thunderbolt 3, RJ45 Gigabit LAN, 4-in-1 SD card reader and a docking connector. To withstand rigorous use, the P51s is MIL-SPEC tested for extreme levels of humidity, temperature, sand, vibration, altitudes and mechanical shocks.

On top of that, the P51s allows you to hot-swap the rear battery with its Power Bridge technology. This provides the freedom to continue working non-stop without a power adapter as it comes with two batteries (built-in + removable rear unit). Overall, it weighs starting from 1.99kg.

The ThinkPad P51s will be available in Malaysia beginning mid-July and it will priced from RM6,999 for the Full HD (non-touch) model. Apart from the ThinkPad P51s, Lenovo Malaysia has also announced its updated ThinkPad X1 Carbon, ThinkPad X1 Yoga and ThinkPad 13 with Intel’s Kaby Lake 7th gen Core i7 processors.
