OPPO Malaysia has a lower priced selfie expert smartphone with better hardware

If you can’t get enough of selfies, OPPO Malaysia has yet again introduced another selfie-centric smartphone with the OPPO A77. This looks like the OPPO F1s but with welcomed hardware improvements all round.

For starters, the front 5.5″ IPS display is now a Full HD unit which is definitely better than their typical HD 720p displays. Underneath its metal body, the A77 still runs on a MediaTek MT6750T processor but it now comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage like its bigger models. Storage is still expandable via microSD up to 128GB.

For taking pictures, it gets a 16MP f/2.0 front facing camera that’s enhanced with its Beautify 4.0 software. For a more dramatic effect, it even lets you add bokeh effects to your portrait shots. Over at the rear, it comes with a 13MP f/2.2 rear camera with PDAF.

The battery is slightly bigger at 3,200mAh, however, it still charges normally via micro USB. It is also a dual-SIM device and it can accept both nano-SIM cards along with a microSD card at the same time. You’ll also get a fingerprint sensor that’s embedded on the home button.

The OPPO A77 is officially priced at RM1,398 and it will be available nationwide starting tomorrow, 27 May at all authorised OPPO outlets.
