You can now buy the Xiaomi Mi 6 in Malaysia

UPDATE: Xiaomi Malaysia opens pre-order for Mi 6 and Mi Max 2.

Can’t wait for Mi Malaysia? The latest Xiaomi Mi 6 smartphone is now available in Malaysia through our local grey importers. This is currently the best spec smartphone you can get in a compact 5.15″ form factor.

The folks at DirectD is offering the base model with 6GB RAM + 64GB storage at RM2,299, while the top spec model with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage is priced at RM2,699. Being an imported set, the Mi 6 on offer is priced higher compared to its official Mi China pricing. However, it’s currently the most affordable (and probably the only) Snapdragon 835 powered smartphone you can get in Malaysia right now.

To refresh your memory, the Mi 6 gets a 5.15″ full HD display and it also features dual 12MP main cameras. The first lens takes most of your normal shots with a f/1.8 aperture while the secondary lens with f/2.6 aperture offers 2X optical zoom. Meanwhile, the front gets an 8MP selfie camera. Onboard it gets a 3,350mAh battery which is one of the biggest in this category and it charges via USB Type-C supporting QuickCharge 3.0.

At the moment, DirectD is offering both Mi 6 models in black colour only and you can get more information over on their product page.
