ColorWare just released an RM8,500 custom painted iPhone 7 Plus

There’s no denying that people are willing to pay a lot for novelty, especially when that novelty item bears the heritage of a company like Apple. In comes this phone, and yes, you did not read wrongly, it’s an iPhone 7 Plus that costs about RM8,500.

This iPhone 7 Plus “Retro” is the brainchild of ColorWare — a company renown for doing amazing custom paint jobs on gadgets. With this iPhone 7 Plus, ColorWare is giving users a throwback to Apple’s classic 1980s Macintosh with a similar colour scheme complete with the rainbow Apple logo too.

But, it costs USD1,899 — and that’s a lot of money. Still, at least you’re getting the high-end model with 256GB of internal storage so…yay?

What do you guys think of this iPhone 7 Plus? Is it worth the novelty? Let me know in the comments below.
