Redmi Note 4 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is coming soon to Malaysia

The Redmi Note 4 is now on sale in Malaysia with the retail price tag of RM799. At the moment, they are just offering the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage model which is available in Gold, Matte Black and Dark Grey. If you’re looking for something with more grunt, Mi Malaysia will be offering the higher spec version with 4GB RAM and 64GB model very soon.

When the international Redmi Note 4 was announced, it came in 3 spec models – 2GB RAM + 16GB storage, 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB + 64GB storage. The lowest spec model is exclusive for India while the rest of the world would be getting just two options. The top of the line 4GB RAM + 64GB storage will definitely make its way to Malaysia, however, its pricing and actual availability will be advised later.

The current 3GB RAM + 32GB storage model is pretty remarkable for its RM799 price tag and we hope the new higher-spec model would be priced competitively under RM900. In India, the Redmi Note 4 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model is currently priced at INR 12,999 which is about RM882. Looking at the Redmi Note 3, the higher-spec model was only RM100 extra on top of its lower-spec model.

To refresh your memory, the Redmi Note 4 is Xiaomi’s affordable phablet and it comes with a 5.5″ Full HD display. Focusing on efficiency, the new smartphone runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 processor that’s powered by a 4,100mAh battery. It comes with a 13MP f/2.0 main camera with PDAF while the front gets a 5MP f/2.0 selfie shooter. You also get a fingerprint sensor, infrared blaster and supports dual-SIMs in 4G with LTE-A.

In terms of bands, the Redmi Note 4 supports FDD-LTE Band 1/3/4/5/7/8/20 and TDD-LTE Band 38/40. Out of the box, it runs on Android 6.0 on MIUI 8 but you can get the latest by installing their Android 7.0 Nougat Preview.

If you’re looking for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage version, it is now available online and on ground at their authorised outlets.
