Listening to Spotify on the road gets better with the latest Waze update

Your daily commute is going to get easier as Waze has added Spotify integration within its navigation app. So if you’re shuffling between your favourite tracks or playlist, you can do it all from the same Waze interface.

If you have Spotify installed on your phone, you should see a Spotify icon on the top right of the screen. With a single tap, you can start playing your last song without interrupting your current navigation. Alternatively, you can do the same vice versa when you’re in Spotify drive mode.

To ensure that you focus on the road while driving, browsing your playlist is only allowed when you’re not moving. This update aims to make your music and navigation experience seamless and you won’t need to keep switching between apps back and forth. The new update is rolling out to Android devices in the coming weeks and it will be available much later for iOS users.
