GrabCar is rolling out in Ipoh, Kuantan, Seremban and Kuching

This post is brought to you by Grab.

Grab, Southeast Asia’s leading ride-sharing service has expanded its GrabCar service in more places in Malaysia. In its latest expansion, you can now request a GrabCar in Ipoh, Kuantan, Kuching and Seremban. The new locations are available starting today and this also includes districts of Nilai and Port Dickson.

Similar to the Klang Valley, you can expect the same safe, convenient and comfortable GrabCar rides in these new locations. The move into new areas is in line with Grab’s mission to make transportation more accessible to everyone.

Grab’s commitment to safety

To be the preferred alternative mode of transport, Grab ensures safety as a key priority. Drivers undergo stringent background checks and they are given training with a strict code of conduct which they would need to comply with. For greater peace of mind, passengers can share their rides with their loved ones in real-time and there’s also a PDRM button within the app which connects passengers to the nearest police in case of emergencies.

For further protection, all GrabCar rides are covered by a Group Accident Insurance which allows each person to claim up to USD10,000.

Greater convenience

You can choose to pay your ride in either cash or cashless payments. If you don’t want to fumble over small change, you can use GrabPay for greater convenience. This allows each ride to be charged directly to your preferred credit/debit card, so you can hop off immediately upon reaching your destination.

With GrabCar, all fares are fixed and it will be shown upfront before you request a ride. This helps to avoid nasty fare surprises even when travelling through traffic jams. For better communication, the app also comes with GrabChat so you can chat with your driver for free. This is an important feature especially if you need to give specific instructions for your pickup.

Each GrabCar ride can be a rewarding one as passengers can accumulate points for further redemption. This can be used for special promotions and exclusive discounts for your future rides.

GrabCar Drivers wanted

As GrabCar rolls out in new locations, Grab is on the look out for new drivers to help grow its network. Whether it is full time or part-time, GrabCar is also an opportunity to earn additional income. There are various incentives and bonus packages for drivers that drive at specific hours. On top of that, there are reward programs in place to remunerate top performing drivers such as Grab’s Ambassador Programme. You can learn more about being a GrabCar driver here.

Apart from these new locations, GrabCar is also currently available in the Klang Valley, Penang, Johor Bahru, Malacca and Kota Kinabalu. If you haven’t tried Grab yet, you can download the app which is available for both iOS and Android.

To celebrate this new expansion, Grab is offering RM5 off for 10 rides with its HIGRAB5 promo code. Just be sure to enter the promo code when you request for a ride. The promotion is applicable for both cash or card payments and is valid from 15 to 31 March 2017.
