Groupon Malaysia has a new name now

Fave has announced that Groupon Malaysia, the country’s most popular site for deals and discounts, will be combined under a single name and operate as Fave here on.

This alliance is said to further expand the people’s acceptance of the the No.1 food and beverage app in the iOS App Store. Fave will also succeed Groupon’s steady base of customers which is going to enable the brand to now serve over 3 million users combined.

Today on Fave, you will be able to find some of the best deals from an array of merchants including Le Méridien Hotel, La Juiceria, Kenny Rogers Roasters, Coliseum Cafe & Grill Room and Tutti Frutti Frozen Yogurt just to name a few. Fave gathers over 2,000 local businesses including restaurants, spas, fitness centres, hotels and more all over Malaysia.

Founder of Fave, Joel Neoh said “It is more than just putting a new name on Groupon. Fave is a homegrown brand developed and headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, and it is now used by millions of users and thousands of businesses across Southeast Asia.”

This strategic move allows Fave to bring the best of great meals and deals together. Also enabling a new service in response to the changing customers’ lifestyle and needs, as well as the opportunity to help businesses succeed in mobile commerce.

The merge with Fave is a follow up from the company’s obtainment of Groupon Malaysia in November 2016 to shape new prospects for online-to-offline (O2O) economy in Malaysia. Portable payment has been identified as one of the critical drivers of the O2O commerce, which brings online customers to physical stores.

Customers are entitled to an extra 15 percent discount on the first purchase by using the promotional code GOFAVE that is valid until 28th February 2017.
