Sharp’s Z2 delivers flagship performance for a bargain

This post is brought to you by the Sharp Z2

If you’re looking for a flagship smartphone around the RM1,000 mark, look no further than the brand new Sharp Z2. Not only does this handset come in a nice metal body, but it’s also powered by a flagship-level 10-core processor!

Sharp’s Z2 is not messing around. Powering this smartphone is a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 chip and 4GB of RAM. This powerful processor from MediaTek sports the world’s first Tri-Cluster technology on a mobile processor. This new tech allows the processor to better optimise its performance for the task at hand so you’ll get maximum performance and maximum battery saving capabilities.

For mass storage, the Z2 also comes with 32GB of internal storage which is expandable via a microSD card slot. In front, it features a nice Full HD 5.5-inch LTPS display that really hits the sweet spot between crisp details without putting too much unnecessary strain on battery life.

When it comes to photography, the Sharp Z2 is equipped with a 16-megapixel primary camera at the back with an 8-megapixel selfie shooter in front. The camera performs admirably and is quick and snappy to use.

Speaking of quick and snappy, the Z2 also comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner that unlocks the smartphone in an instant. With this, you won’t have to fumble around with pins, patterns or passwords — just a touch will do.

Keeping the handset powered is a 3,000 mAh battery with fast-charging technology. When running low, just hook it up to a power port and you’ll be able to get half your battery charged in just 30 minutes.

And then, we come to the cherry on top of the proverbial cake — its build. Most smartphones at this price point sacrifice some build quality, but the Sharp Z2 comes with a premium all-metal build. The steel is cool to the touch and the edges give it a really nice grip in your hand, fitting securely so you won’t be worried about it slipping out of your hands.

What more could you really need from a smartphone? A great price? Oh, the Z2’s got that too. Retailing at just RM1,199, the Sharp Z2 is practically a steal for the amount of smartphone you’re getting. So, if you’re looking for a device for this holiday season, definitely check out the Sharp Z2.
