Now you can buy iOS apps and Apple content in Malaysian Ringgit

With immediate effect, you can now buy your iOS games, apps, music and movies on iTunes in Malaysian Ringgit instead of US Dollars. This is applicable across iTunes, App Store and Apple Music in Malaysia.

To mark the occasion, Apple is having a Treat Yourself promotion from now until 22 December 2016. The Malaysian-developed Super StreamPuff (Originally US$2.99) and Tiny Guardians (Originally US$3.99) games are now going for only RM3.90. Other game titles such as Monument Valley (Originally US$3.99) and Wizard Wagons (Originally US$4.99) can be yours for RM7.90 each.

HD Movies on iTunes are also sold in Malaysian Ringgit and they are offering selected titles at RM29.90. This include Deadpool, Independence Day: Resurgence, Kung Fu Panda 3, The Martian and Batman vs Superman. It costs RM12.90 to rent but only if the option is available.

If you’re an Apple Music subscriber, the subscription fees are much cheaper in our local currency. An individual subscription costs RM14.90 (Originally US$3.99) while a Family account is at RM22.90 (Originally US$5.99). These are quite similar to Spotify‘s local offering. Now you don’t need to worry about our fluctuating currency exchange rates. If you haven’t tried it yet, it is free for the first 3 months.

Similarly, extra iCloud storage is also priced in RM. The full pricing are as follows:
50GB – RM3.90/month (Originally US$0.99)
200GB – RM11.90/month (Originally US$2.99)
1TB – RM39.90/month (Originally US$9.99)
2TB – RM79.90/month (Originally US$19.99)

For more info, head over to the Treat Yourself section on the AppStore.
