Lenovo Malaysia has officially launched its PHAB2 series in our local market. Offering a large 6.4″ display, the PHAB2 comes in 3 different models – the PHAB2, PHAB2 Plus and the PHAB2 Pro.
The top of the range is the Lenovo PHAB2 Pro that comes with Google’s Tango technology for augmented reality. It gets a 6.4″ Quad HD IPS display and under the hood, it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.
Over at the rear, it gets a 16MP PDAF camera with additional two cameras for depth and motion tracking. In front, it gets an 8MP camera for all your selfie needs. For better audio recording, the PHAB2 Pro gets 3 microphones for active noise cancellation along with support for Dolby Audio Capture 5.1.
Keeping the lights on is a 4,050mAh battery that supports fast charging. The back also comes with a fingerprint sensor for faster unlocking. This is a dual-SIM device with a hybrid slot which accepts microSD up to 128GB. The Lenovo PHAB2 Pro is officially priced at RM1,899 in Malaysia.
Next up is the Lenovo PHAB2 that’s affordably priced at RM899. It gets a 6.4″ HD 720p display and it runs on a MediaTek MT8735 Quad-Core processor with 3GB of RAM. There’s 32GB of on-board storage that’s expandable via microSD up to 128GB.
For imaging, it gets a 13MP rear and 5MP front shooter. Similar to the PHAB2 Pro, it also carries a 4,050mAh battery and it also supports dual-SIMs.
The PHAB2 Plus is a higher-spec variant of the PHAB2. It also gets a 6.4″ display but it pushes a higher Full HD resolution. Under the hood, it runs on a higher MediaTek MT8783 Octa-Core processor mated to 3GB of RAM and has 32GB of on-board storage.
In the camera department, the rear gets a 13MP f/2.0 dual-camera set up with Laser Auto Focus while the front sports an 8MP f/2.2 shooter. For better audio pick up, it also gets a triple array micrphone with noise cancellation.
Battery is also the same with 4,050mAh capacity and it also accepts dual-SIM cards. Similar to the PHAB2 Pro, there’s also a fingerprint sensor at the rear. The PHAB2 Plus is officially priced at RM1,299. All 3 PHAB2 models are running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. If you’re interested, they will be available at selected Lenovo Exclusive Stores and Lenovo Multi Brand Stores nationwide from mid-December onwards.
