redONE is no longer just a postpaid MVNO as they have introduced its new prepaid plan. Similar to its barebones postpaid offering, the new redONE prepaid comes with unlimited voice calls to all redONE Prepaid users and it comes with 500MB of free data each month. Unlike most mainstream prepaid plans, you can keep your line active for 30 days with just a RM10 top up.
The redONE Prepaid starter pack costs RM10 and it comes with 500MB of data, unlimited on-net calls and 30 days validity upon activation. This is probably the longest prepaid and freebies validity out of the kit. As an early bird promotion, redONE is giving a one-time RM10 free credit if you top up at least RM30 from now until 31 December 2016. The free 500MB data will be given on the 1st day of every month.
For redONE, the key highlight is its low commitment proposition. Regardless if it is RM10, RM20, RM30 or RM50 top up, you’ll get 30 days of validity. This is good for those who want to spend less to enjoy the free monthly perks but this also means you can’t top up more to extend your validity further.
The free calls (Fair usage up to 6,000 minutes) are only applicable between redONE prepaid to redONE prepaid numbers only. Voice calls to non-redONE Prepaid numbers (including redONE Postpaid) are charged at RM0.16 per minute. For SMS, it will cost you 5 sen for redONE and Celcom numbers and 10 sen to other networks.
If you need more data, redONE offers 2 data top up options – RM10 for 500MB that’s valid for 10 days or RM20 for 1GB/month. On the downside, redONE Prepaid does not come with free basic internet. Once you’ve used up your data, additional usage will be charged at 1 sen per 200KB. At the moment, there’s no official app so you’ll need to dial *124# to check on your balance. In terms of network, redONE supports 4G LTE and it runs on Celcom’s network.
The redONE starter pack is available at their branches, premier shops and official partners. For more info, head over to redONE Prepaid page.
