ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe 5.5″ is now available in Malaysia

The ZenFone 3 Deluxe is the most premium smartphone offering from ASUS that starts from RM2,599. It comes with a larger 5.7″ Full HD AMOLED display and 6GB of RAM.

If that’s too much and if you’re looking for something more affordable, you might want to consider the 5.5″ ZenFone 3 Deluxe which is now on sale in Malaysia.

The ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe 5.5″ carries a lower price tag at RM1,999 and it’s obviously smaller with a 5.5″ Super IPS+ display that does full HD resolution. Instead of a top of the line Snapdragon 821/820 processor, it runs on a capable Snapdragon 625 Octa-Core processor with 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM. There’s 64GB of storage on board which is expandable via microSD.

In terms of camera, it is a notch below its 5.7″ sibling as it uses a 16MP Sony IMX298 camera that’s assisted by OIS and EIS. For the front, it gets the same 8MP f/2.0 camera that comes with PixelMaster 3.0 beautification features.

The rest of the device is pretty much the same as the original Deluxe as it gets a premium metal unibody build, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3,000mAh battery which charges via a USB Type-C port. Since it is smaller, the ZenFone 3 Deluxe 5.5″ is much lighter at 150 grams (ZenFone 3 5.7″: 172 grams) but it is thicker at 7.8mm (ZenFone 3 5.7″: 7.8mm).

Overall, this looks like a refined version of the mainstream 5.5″ ZenFone 3 (RM1,699) model which we have reviewed earlier. You may consider this as a ZenFone 3 in a ZenFone 3 Deluxe body. Would you pay RM300 extra for better looks?
