Maxis SurfMore plans upgraded with more data and TVNow streaming

After Celcom and Digi revamped their postpaid plans, Maxis has quietly made some upgrades of their own. For those who are still on their legacy data-only SurfMore plans, you should be getting additional 2GB of data on both SurfMore 50 and 75.

The highest SurfMore 75 plan that originally comes with 5GB of data at RM75/month is now bumped up to 7GB. You also get 2GB extra data for TVNow which lets you stream videos from hopster, iflix, tonton, ErosNow and viu.

Also upgraded is their SurfMore 50 (RM50/month) plan which recently got upgraded to 3GB/month a couple of months ago. It now gets 5GB of data plus 2GB of TVNow streaming.

SurfMore 75 was discontinued some time back and it now appears that Maxis has discontinued SurfMore 50 as well. You can’t find any pages related to SurfMore on Maxis website and all search results on Google return a 404 page. So far there’s no indication that Maxis will upgrade their MaxisONE plans anytime soon.

Thanks @RuleofThum and amerfor the tip!
