It’s that time of the year! The time to get up and get exercising. It’s time to get your hands (wrists?) on the brand new Apple Watch Series 2. Or, if you’ve got limited funds like me, it’s time to get your hands on the not-so-brand-new Apple Watch Series 1.
Revealed earlier, the Apple Watch Series 2 was set to go on sale on the 21st of October. Well, guess what date today is? But which do you get?
Well, that depends on your preference. The Apple Watch Series 1, for example, is basically the original Apple Watch but with an updated dual-core processor called the Apple S1P. This, coupled with watchOS 3, enables better performance, shorter app loading times and just an overall smoother experience on top of everything the Apple Watch already does really well.
On the other hand, the Apple Watch Series 2 (which is the brand new one) also comes with a new dual-core processor, but this time, it has built-in GPS and is called the Apple S2. On top of that, you get water resistance up to 50 metres (so it’s swim proof), you get a brighter OLED display (1,000 nits of brightness), you get a new GPU that’s 2x faster and you get a brand new Ceramic case in Pearl White that’s supposed to be four times harder than stainless steel. There’s also a Nike+ version, but that’s only going to be available on the 28th of October.

Alternatively, if you’re really strapped for cash and absolutely need an Apple Watch — instead of, maybe, a good meal — then you can also opt for the original Apple Watch which has had its price severely reduced (even the Stainless Steel ones are going for 50% off).
