Huawei Nova Plus and MediaPad M3 are now available in Malaysia

If you’re looking for a mid-range device, the Huawei Nova Plus is now available in Malaysia. Announced at IFA 2016 last month, the Nova Plus is priced much lower here compared to the European market.

Huawei Nova Plus

When it was officially announced, there are 2 models – a 5″ Nova and a 5.5″ Nova Plus phablet. For Malaysia, we are getting just the Nova Plus that’s priced at RM1,499. It gets a 5.5″ Full HD IPS display and it runs on a 14nm based Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor which is similar to the ZenFone 3. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage which is expandable via microSD. In terms of design, it gets an all metal unibody construction with a smooth 2.5D glass on top.

For taking pictures, the rear gets a 16MP main camera with OIS while the front features an 8MP selfie shooter. There’s also a fingerprint scanner at the rear and it packs a 3,340mAh battery which claims to last more than 2 days. Like its newer models, it uses USB Type-C but it does not support fast charging. You can learn more about the device from our announcement post at IFA 2016.

Huawei MediaPad M3

Also available is their new tablet, the MediaPad M3. It gets an 8.4″ IPS display that pushes a Quad HD resolution of 2560×1600. Powering the tablet is a Kirin 950 processor that’s mated to 4GB of RAM. Both sides get an 8MP camera and keeping the lights on is a 5,100mAh battery. It also supports 4G LTE connectivity with voice call features.

Designed for multimedia consumption, the MediaPad M3 features stereo speakers and an AK4376 HiFi DAC. The 32GB storage variant is going for RM1,699 while the 64GB option is priced at RM1,999. Both the Nova Plus and MediaPad M3 are now available at Huawei stores and authorised dealers nationwide.
