Following our discovery of the fact that the new DJI Mavic Pro would be officially launched locally on the 12th of October, we found an entry on website Cameralah.com stating that the new drone would be up for pre-orders.
The drone will come in a package that the website has called the DJI Mavic Pro COMBO. This combo includes the drone itself, its controller, 3x batteries (1 bundled, 2 spare), 5x quick release folding propellers, a Gimbal Clamp, a charger and its cable, a micro USB cable, an RC cable with Lightning Connector, an RC cable with MicroUSB connector, 2x RC cable sliders, a 16GB microSD card, a charging hub and a Mavic Pro shoulder bag.
That’s quite the complete package which would also explain the listed price tag of RM5,950. However, from the entry, it looks like Cameralah.com will be slashing RM50 off the listed price for the pre-order bringing it down to the still not insignificant sum of RM5,900. Considering the Phantom 4 is still selling for RM5,999 for a combo with two spare batteries, the Mavic Pro isn’t actually all that expensive.
As far as warranty is concerned, Cameralah lists that it has a 1 Year Limited Manufacturer Warranty. They also state that this drone will start shipping in October 2016.
The DJI Mavic Pro is a fascinating drone primarily because it can be folded up into a tiny form factor that you could fit in your pocket…if you’re wearing cargo pants. But that’s not all, as the truly amazing thing is that this is pretty much a no compromise drone too.
Equipped with the same sensor and a lot of the autonomous (and intelligent) features of DJI’s flagship Phantom 4 drone, the Mavic Pro has more than enough to stand tall in the consumer drone market. It even comes with a 27-minute flight time, a 7km range (with controller) and a top speed of 64km/h. If you want to see more of the Mavic Pro’s features, you can read up on it here.
