The Malaysian pricing for the latest GoPro HERO5 and HERO5 Session is finally revealed and you can buy them in stores next week. This comes just under 2 weeks from its recent global announcement.

The GoPro HERO5 Black is officially priced at RM1,849 while the compact GoPRO Hero5 Session is going for RM1,399. Both will be available starting next Monday, 3rd October at the following authorised outlets in Malaysia:

1. Foto Flash – Suria KLCC

3. Fotokem – Sunway Pyramid
4. Shong Lee Photo – 1 Utama Shopping Centre
5. CamWorld Digital Gadgets – Pavilion KL
6. Foto President – Gurney Plaza
7. Rightway – Mahkota Parade Melaka

To recap, both GoPRO HERO5 action cams are waterproof, voice control activated and they are able to shoot 4K videos at 30fps. The HERO5 Black now comes with a 2″ touch-screen display and it is also capable of shooting slow-mo in Full HD 1080p up to 120fps.

Unlike the previous GoPRO Hero models, you can now take this underwater up to 10 metres without the need of an external case. In addition, it also supports GoPro Plus, a cloud service where it will automatically upload your photo and videos over WiFi when the camera is being charged. The HERO5 has a 1,220mAh battery and it charges via USB Type-C.

As for the HERO5 session, this little cube is now upgraded to shoot 4K and it is capable of taking still shots at 10MP as well as 1080p slow-mo in 90fps. Like the HERO5, it also gets video stabilisation and support for GoPro Plus cloud service. It is juiced up by a 1,000mAh battery and it also charges using USB Type-C.

The GoPRO HERO5 Malaysian launch is happening next Saturday. There are no details yet on its new Karma drone but who knows, they might give us sneak peak during the event.
