Here’s something to cheer you up during the mid-week. Uber is partnering with PAWS Malaysia and Petfinder.my for a one-day UberKUCING special. For RM30, you can order yourself a 15-minute snuggle experience at your office for a good cause.
The UberKucing service is happening in Kuala Lumpur tomorrow, 14th September between 11am to 4PM. On the Uber app, just slide to the KUCING option and make the request. As usual, demand is expected to be high, so you might need to keep trying to secure your delivery. Of course, do make sure that your office is cool with having cats around for a short while.
A PAWS representative will be there to assist the kitten delivery and you can talk to them about adopting. UberKucing costs RM30 and all proceeds will go to PAWS Malaysia. If you wish to donate more, you can inform the Uber representative after your 15 minutes is up.
Similar to UberIceCream, Uber had organised a couple of UberKittens special in several countries worldwide. Just like in Malaysia, it is also a charitable event to raise funds for their respective animal shelters. When they ran it in the US last year, they managed to find homes for 315+ kittens and raised over US$40,000 of funds.
Speaking of Kucing, Uber is also rolling out in Kuching, Sarawak on the same day. This is Uber’s 2nd city in East Malaysia after Kota Kinabalu. In terms of rates, UberX in Kuching starts at RM0.95 for base fare and they charge RM0.50/KM and RM0.25 per minute.
