Similar to Samsung, Huawei has always focused on having a compact and phablet series flagship. While a new Mate 8 replacement is due for end of this year, Huawei appears to be doing something different at the upcoming IFA 2016 in Berlin.

From the two teaser pictures above, there will be two new smartphones that will be announced in a few days time. According to serial leakster @evleaks, these would be the Huawei Nova and Nova Plus. If it’s true, this is an entire new line up that joins its current G, P and Mate series. Also joining the launch is a new MediaPad M3 tablet that should be focused on multimedia playback.

It’s speculated that the new Nova series will be aimed at women and one of it may look like a Nexus 6P as shown above. The teaser showed just one rear camera for both devices so it isn’t clear if Leica is involved in the photography department. No details of the specs yet but do stay tuned to us as we will be heading to Berlin to give you the latest updates from IFA 2016.
