If you’ve ever been curious about what your favourite celebrities are watching on iflix, you won’t have to for much longer. The streaming service launched their latest feature today — Playlists — which lets popular artists create personal playlists for their fans to follow.
The video streaming service collaborated with 50 different local artists to create 50 different Playlists that are readily available via iflix’s app and website. These artists include the likes of Maya Karin, Afdlin Shauki, Hannah Tan and Amber Chia among others.
But that’s not all. iflix themselves have also prepared curated Playlists for their users to browse through with themes such as #onlyoniflix, for iflix exclusive shows; Superhero Squad, for all your superhero needs; and To Infinity and Beyond, which features sci-fi shows like Dr. Who, Falling Skies, The 100 and more.
Users who follow these playlists will be alerted of any updates and changes made to the playlists.
In essence, it works kind of like Spotify’s curated playlists but with some added star power. iflix says Playlists is designed to help users discover new TV shows and movies from the “people and trusted sources they already love”.
