The latest Android, version 7.0 Nougat is finally available. It will be first released for selected Nexus devices followed by newer flagships like the upcoming LG V20.
According to Google, Android 7.0 Nougat is rolling out starting today and over the next few weeks to the following devices:
Nexus 5X
Nexus 6
Nexus 6P
Nexus 9
Nexus Player
Pixel C
General Mobile 4G (Android One)
If you’re already enrolled with Android Beta Program, your device will be pushed with the final version. For those on a non-Nexus device, expect respective smartphone manufacturers to push their Nougat updates in the next few months to come.
Traditionally, Google would release their latest Android software with a new Nexus device. This latest release is a fresh new approach and we could see newer devices with Nougat out of the box before the upcoming HTC-made Nexus models are announced.
Android 7.0 Nougat brings a host of new features which include native multi-window, direct reply and quick switching along a host of performance and battery life improvements. If you haven’t seen it yet, here’s our list of top 5 coolest features on Android N.
