Besides the official launch of their smartphone ZenFone 3 line, they also brought their brand new notebook and 2-in-1 lineup to Malaysia — the ZenBook 3, Transformer 3 Pro and Transformer 3.
This is ASUS’s latest ultrabook that’s ultra thin and ultra light, coming in at just 910g with an 11.9mm thin chassis. The ZenBook 3 was crafted from aerospace-grade aluminum and comes in three colours — Royal Blue, Rose Gold and Quartz.
Inside, the ZenBook 3 will pack an Intel Core i7-6500U processor, 16GB of 2,133 MHz LPDDR3 RAM and a 1TB of PCIe 3.0 x4 ultra-fast SSD. Besides that, the 12.5-inch Full HD device sports a USB Type-C port and quad-speakers that have been tuned by Harman Kardon. The display is covered, edge-to-edge, with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3.

Next, we’ve got the new Transformer 3 Pro which ASUS says is the world’s most versatile PC. This 2-in-1 comes with a fully backlit keyboard with 1.4mm key travel distances. The Transformer 3 Pro comes with a 12.6-inch display with 275 ppi thanks to a 2880×1920 resolution.
Inside, it will feature the latest Intel Core i7-6500U processor with up to a 1TB PCIe x4 SSD and 16GB of 2,133 MHz RAM. The Transformer 3 Pro also sports a USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 2 port that can support Thunderbolt 3. Other ports include an HDMI port and a USB 3.0 port.
Much like its competition, the ASUS Transformer 3 Pro has a stylus called the ASUS Pen which has 1,024 levels of pressure sensitivity, a Universal Dock, an Audio Pod and of course the highlight ROG XG Station 2 external graphics card dock. With the dock, the Transformer 3 Pro can be hooked up to an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card to provide desktop-grade graphics performance, transforming the device to a VR-ready gaming rig.

ASUS’s Transformer 3 is the final 2-in-1 that ASUS announced today. It’s got a 7th gen Intel Core i7 processor with 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM and a 256GB SSD. The Transformer 3 has a 12.6-inch 2880×1920 resolution display plus Harman Kardon tuned audio. It also has a USB Type-C port that has support for Thunderbolt 3.
