OPPO F1 Plus FC Barcelona Edition will be available in Malaysia soon

In conjunction with OPPO’s partnership with the Catalan football team, OPPO had earlier announced a special FC Barcelona Edition for its current F1 Plus smartphone. If you’re a big Barça fan, you’ll be happy to know that it’s coming to Malaysia very soon.

As you would expect with a limited edition smartphone, it gets a unique blue and red colour scheme that represents the colours of FC Barcelona. On top of that, there’s a prominent club insignia at the back that’s covered with 18K gold. Unlike what we’ve seen earlier, there’s only one colour option available.

To complete the Barça experience, it gets a custom theme with the official theme song as the default ringtone. As an added bonus, the limited edition set comes with a soft touch case with signatures of the top 5 players including Lionel Messi, Neymar, Luis Suárez, Ivan Rakitić and Andrés Iniesta printed on the inside.

The rest of the phone is a typical OPPO F1 Plus. It gets a 5.5″ Full HD display and it runs on a Mediatek Helio P10 processor with 4GB of RAM. On-board it has 64GB of storage that’s expandable via microSD on the 2nd SIM slot. For imaging, it gets a high resolution 16MP front camera while the back gets a 13MP f/2.2 camera with PDAF.

Like the original F1 Plus, the front gets a lightning quick fingerprint scanner and it charges up its 2,850mAh battery quickly via VOOC Flash charging. To find out what we think of the device, you can read our review here.

According to OPPO Malaysia, the F1 Plus FC Barcelona Edition will be available in mid-July which should be any time now. Stocks will be very limited and even OPPO Indonesia has only 10 units to go around. In Indonesia, it is going for Rp. 6.499.000 (around RM1,963) which isn’t too bad since the standard F1 Plus is priced officially at RM1,898.

We managed to get a hands-on with the device and you can watch it in our video below.
