Samsung to release a Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Edition

If you missed your chance of getting the Galaxy S7 edge Injustice edition, not to worry. Another limited edition phone is in the works and this time, it is in conjunction with a major sporting event.

Samsung is a worldwide partner for the upcoming Rio 2016 Olympics. As revealed by serial leakster @evleaks, the Korean smartphone maker will be releasing a Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Edition as pictured above.

Like the “batman” themed phone, the Olympic Edition gets a unique colour details along with a customised software theme. At the front, it gets some gold detailing for the earpiece and home button, while the back gets a blue coloured ring for its camera bump and heart rate monitoring module. With Samsung pushing VR, we can expect a Gear VR headset bundled in a specially designed case.

The Rio 2016 Olympics is happening from 5-21 August and Samsung would probably make a formal announcement soon. If you haven’t seen it yet, check out our hands-on with the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge Injustice Edition.
