This KFC takeaway box charges your phone while you eat

Everyone wants to keep their smartphones sufficiently charged. Like us humans, we need to fuel up our devices every now and then.

For a complete nourishment for you and your smartphone, meet the KFC 5-in-1 “Watt a box”. This pack of finger-licking goodness comes with something extra.

Out of the box, you get your usual chicken meal and soft drink but at the side, you’ll find a removable battery pack. It comes with a bunch of cables for different phones and you can recharge it as well via micro USB.

According to BGR India, the power bank is listed with a 6,100mAh capacity but it doesn’t seem to perform in real life. An iPhone 5s only managed to get 17% battery after 30 minutes of charging which is rather slow. On a Redmi Note 3, a 100% charged power bank managed to push only 7% of charge. It is a neat idea but you probably be sticking to your standard power banks for some serious charging.

The KFC “Watt a box” is available only in India as a limited edition giveaway to selected customers. KFC India fans can stand a chance to win one through a contest on their Facebook page.
