ASUS Zenfone Max lets you go the distance with a 5,000mAh battery

If you think ASUS has one too many Zenfone models, their affordable luxury smart phone line up has gotten a whole lot bigger. If endurance is what you seek, they have just announced the ASUS Zenfone Max, a new mid-ranger that comes with a huge 5,000mAh capacity battery.

Like the mainstream Zenfone 2 models, it has a 5.5″ IPS display that pushes a modest HD 720p resolution and it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor mated to 2GB of RAM. For storage it gets 16GB of storage which is expandable via microSD.

For taking pictures it gets a similar kit as the ZenFone Laser with a 13MP f/2.0 main camera with dual-tone LED lens and it is further assisted with Laser AutoFocus. The front gets a 5MP f/2.0 shooter for selfie duties. It also supports 4G LTE with dual-SIMs and out of the box it runs on Android 5.0 with the latest ZenUI 2.0. In terms of availability, the Zenfone Max will go on sale in October but they have yet to give any price indications at the moment.

With a battery capacity this large, you probably could go more than 2 days on a single charge. Overall this is better spec’ed and it looks better than ZTE Q519T. If you value long battery life above having top end specs, the Zenfone Max is definitely worth considering.
