Celcom introduces its FIRST One postpaid plan for a limited time only in conjunction with the upcoming Merdeka celebrations. The plan is originally priced at RM68/month but they are giving RM20 off rebate each month for life to those who signed up by 31st August. The FIRST One offers 2GB of mobile data, 60 minutes of calls and 60 SMS to all networks for just RM48/month.
This apparently replaces its earlier First Basic 38 plan that offered 3GB of just RM38/month. Of the two, the earlier Basic 38 offers better value for less.
Should you exceed your monthly voice and SMS allocation, extra usage will be charged at RM0.20/minute or RM0.20 per SMS. For extra high-speed data, it offers the same data top-up rates as before with 1GB going for RM15 or 5GB at RM50/month.
When compared to the competition, it is still no match to U Mobile’s RM28/month for 3GB postpaid plan in terms of value. At least it is better than MaxisGo postpaid that offers 2GB of data which is split into off-peak and on-peak timeslots.
